Hello and Welcome to SevenSeasofRhye!
So, I'm from a nonmusical family, and when I was younger, I used to sing. Oh, and it wasn't exactly a talent, it's just that I can, or I used to...sing. But that's where it stopped because singing just didn't work for me, maybe because I was young or lazy. And I didn't like singing in front of people. But I do love music, and most of it is because of my lovely Great Grandfather, who first introduced me to the world of Classical Rock.
Now, I haven't learnt any instrument, except maybe tried taking a few guitar lessons during my rebellious years, which just didn't work out, perhaps because I was not meant to be a musician. Yeah. There is a useless guitar lying in the corner of my room, just staring at me. In disappointment. But then, after a few years of thinking and contemplating, especially after thinking back to conversations with my great grandfather about the songs he loved, I turned to write about music. I have a decent command of words and a good sense of humour, and I hope this works out. So, this is how the SevenSeasofRhye was born. Now I'm no music critic, and I'm just humbly sharing some stuff I like about my favourite artists and bands- some already big and established, some that are yet to make their mark and some who are dead. And remember, the observations and experiences here are pretty subjective; the views are all my own.
Mine is not exactly a unique musical blog; I’m sure there would have been others before me who’s already done this, but I wanted to give this a shot anyway, and pour out all my musical curiosities into this blog and just enjoy the journey! As they say “Here for a good time, not a long time.” Oh, and I hope you guys enjoy *cheeky smile*.
Oh and about the name of the blog- it’s a Queen song. A good song. A nice song.
