Down in the Trenches with Ebb+Flow

Ebb + Flow is an Indian Rock Band from Bangalore, India, with Arav Krishnan on the vocals and lead guitarist; and Sabayasaachi Shenoy on vocals and drums. Yes, they've got two lead vocalists, and that's so cool! The band released their debut single, "Down in the Trenches", on the 15th of June 2022.

Ebb+Flow's musical style has been mainly described as a mixture of grunge, alternative and prog rock, but there's definitely a touch of punk too. They've cited Alice in the Chains, Pearl Jam, Tool, Soundgarden, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers as their musical influences.

"Down in the Trenches" is a rather unique track with a visceral nihilistic sound and a strong punky attack with a cascading aggressive rhythm. The lyrics of the song bleed with raw emotion. Lyrically, I really like this one. It's got that bleak grim (and a little sinister) touch, and it's dark and dreary.

On the 12th of August 2022, they released their second track, "Timeless Place". Like their previous album, it was grinding with the band's acoustic and sonic brilliance. What I liked about this piece was how the vocals kept switching between the two lead singers- their voices bled into each other, so very smooth. And the guitar solo with those fast, complex riffs, Woah.

Their musical craftmanship and virtuosity are absolutely brilliant. I'm really looking forward to hearing more of their songs!
